Terry Sieffert

I was raised in the small town of Lucky Lake Sask. and went to school there for all twelve years. Growing up in a small town, I played hockey, curled and competed in all the school sports.

Out of high school I worked on the CNR and was a foreman on the gangs for six months of the year and then worked on the section crew the balance of the time at Watson and Delisle SK. I took Retail Meat Cutting at Kelsey institute and worked for Safeway as a Meat Cutter after working for CNR. I married my school sweetheart and we had two children Nicole and Jared.

From Safeway, my wife and I bought the hotel in Semans Sask. After 7 years of running the hotel we moved to Spence Bay where I was an Economic Development Officer for the Territorial Government for four years. I then moved over to an organization as an Economic Development Officer funded by Aboriginal Business Canada for four years. Our last five years in Nunavut, my wife and I formed a consulting company called T&S Consulting and did contract work throughout the Territories and Nunavut. I was a justice of the Peace for ten years in the NWT and had authority to hold trials for all summary convictions.

We moved back to Sask. in 1998 and T&S Consulting managed a contract with Coteau Hills Rural Development Corporation serving the communities of Birsay, Lucky Lake, Beechy and Kyle and their respective RM’s.

After 15 years of private business and 8 year in the Economic Development field I joined the Sask. Credit Union system and have been in management positions for 17 out of 20 years. While working in the Credit Union System we have lived in Raymore, Coronach, Assiniboia, Melville and currently LeRoy for the last 16 months.

We like snowmobiling, boating, camping and hanging out with our grandsons Max and Milo.

I have volunteered on many committees where ever I lived and I am currently on the Board of Evergreen Homes in LeRoy.
